John M. Zingale (Mr. JZ)
John Zingale teaches middle school social studies at Vancouver iTech Preparatory in the Vancouver School District. At iTech, he specializes in integrating S.T.E.M.
and PBL into the middle school curriculum. John is a Google Geo Educator #CAGTI, co-founder of edcampSwWA and the Vice-President of the Oregon Council for the Social Studies. Aside from teaching, he is a husband and father.
His different hobbies including hiking, photography, and traveling. An ardent outdoorsman, he not only climbs Mount St. Helens, but also uses the climb as a staff bonding experience. This summer included experiences parasailing on Lake Tahoe, hiking on and into Wizard Island at Crater Lake National Park, and riding the cable cars in San Francisco.
